What Makes Venus Such a Unique Cat?

So, what makes Venus stand out from other cats? For starters, she has heterochromia which means she has two different colored eyes: one blue and one green. Cats do not normally have blue eyes (other than some Siamese and white cats). On top of that, her face looks like it’s cut in half: one half of her face is jet black, while the other is a red tabby color! To make matters even more interesting, her paws are also split with beautiful multi-colored toe beans on each foot. Some veterinarians believe that Venus’ unique features are because she might be a chimera. Chimeras occur when two embryos fuse in the uterus. If Venus were a chimera, then the DNA on the left side of her body would be entirely different from the DNA on the right side of her body! However, it is also possible that Venus’ beautiful coloring is simply the result of luck and random chance. Whatever the cause, this beautiful tortoiseshell kitty is one stunning feline!
